The Most Basic Question of All... Why Do We Make These?

Honestly, it was a simple and scary realization one year when our sewist added up all the receipts for paper towels and realized it was all money she had thrown into the trash! THEN she considered the chemicals and bleach used in making the throwaway paper towels and her frustration grew!

So 100% cotton flannel is the answer! Reusable! Washable! Colorful! Fun! (After all, fun is important!)

Why Don't You Use Organic Cotton Flannel?

Well, if that is important to you, our sewist would be glad to find that for you! However, we can't speak to what kind of inks have been used on any of the cottons. So to us, going the extra expense for organic cotton when we can't guarantee the inks used are also organic just doesn't make sense to us.

NOTE: Our sewist did find unbleached and undyed flannel for a family member with severe reactions to clothing dyes. Ask us about this!

How Can You Use the Flannels?

Paper Towel Replacement

Our most basic version is the paper towel sized flannels—the same size as a standard US paper towel (11" x 12")—and yes, other countries do different sizes! Designed to roll up on a reusable cardboard tube and fit wherever you used to keep your paper towels!

Napkins

Sure you can use disposable paper napkins, but again, why use something that you're going to throw away? Fold your pretty flannels and put them in a basket for all to use! Remember, they are washable!

Facial Rounds

Doing your daily skin care is so important in these days of chemicals, pollution and sun exposure! Our sewist uses hers for blending makeup.

Smaller Towels

Think about little faces that drool. Yep, you can wipe noses with those, too, if you care to!

(Um, there are companies out there that also promote using a separate set of flannels as reusable toilet paper. But honestly, that's a decision YOU will have to make!)

What If I Don't See a Fabric Pattern I Like?

The short answer... challenge me to find whatever pattern you want! Our sewist loves looking for fabric to fit your kitchen theme or color!
